WELCOME

Hello and welcome to my website which covers various aspects from my playing career and my business interests. Whether you are a fan or just visiting I hope you find something of interest. Having retired from my playing career after 20 years on tour I will concentrate my efforts on golf days, clinics, coaching, consultancy work, speaking engagements, commentary and charity work.

I am teaching at The Alison Nicholas Golf Academy and am a qualified PGA Level 2 & European Golf Teachers Federation coach. SOLHEIM CUP

Alison has been named the European Solheim Cup Captain for the 2009 matches at Rich Harvest Farms in Illinois in two years time from 21-23 August 2009.

She will lead the 12 best European born players from the Ladies European Tour and will attempt to win the cup for the first time on US soil.

DUBAI SOLHEIM CUP PRACTICE
Organising a Solheim Cup practice in Dubai last December gave me the chance to get a few players together so that I could get to know the younger players better and observe them and their games at close quarters. The experienced players were able to pass on some valuable insights about The Solheim Cup to the younger players.

Eight players attended the practice, chosen because of current form and availability. As Captain I found the practice a very useful exercise. However, I must stress that I am not excluding other players from my plans and will consider those that come into form next year. We have a good spirit in Europe and I am sure we can rekindle the belief that we can compete successfully against the Americans in August this year.
